Creative Arts Exhibition

Major prize winners

Diverse creative talents

LAST Tuesday night signalled the opening of one of the best Creative Arts Exhibitions the College has ever had the honour to put on display.

It was a celebration of the diverse creative talents we have here at St Norbert College, with  works from across the Technologies and the Arts learning areas impressing the large crowd gathered for opening night.

The guest judge, ex-student Brad Habib (Class of ‘95) gave an inspiring speech about the significance of the practical subjects, as both a source of joy, and/or a future career opportunity, his own passions leading him into a career in sound design. You just never know where the creative path might lead you!

Prizes awarded on opening night - with certificates given at assembly - were as follows:

The Peoples’ Choice Award winner was announced at the end-of-term assembly. Congratulations to Grace Edmonds, Year 10 Food Science, for her Decorated Cake - a very popular choice!

None of this would be possible without the ongoing support and guidance from all of the various teachers of these practical subject areas. Immense thanks to Mr Craig Mecham, Ms Daniela Visic, and especially to Mrs Samantha Eloff for stepping into my place at the last minute, for the busy set up period.
