AFL Best and Fairest

Two St Norbert College footballers have been presented with the ultimate accolade in junior football.

Both Zack Hately (Year 10) and Paige Craven-Bower (Year 11) received Best and Fairest Medals at the WA Football Commission's annual awards night, held at the Hyatt Regency.

Zack plays for the South Perth Stingrays and Paige for High Wycombe JFC.

The Metro Central Conference awards recognise players who poll the most votes over the season as judged by the umpires.

Paige topped off her night by being included in the inaugural Year 11/12 Team of the Year and is pictured in the front row, far right.

IT took a while to orchestrate – due to COVID and new university commitments - but three of the College’s top-performing students from 2021 returned to the College to collect their multiple academic, leadership College contribution awards that they were awarded back in November last year.

Class of 2021 Dux Matilda Seroney, Proxime Accessit Anushka Kotian and Student Ministry Award winner Ali Tkacz had been unable to attend the already postponed Class of 2021 presentations in the Xanten Theatre in August but were finally – officially – presented with their awards at a small ceremony held recently.

The three close friends, who still catch up regularly, enjoyed a visit to the College Boardroom where they were presented with subject awards, Certificates of Excellence, a Principal’s Medallion and other the top honours.  This year both Anushka and Matilda are studying at Curtin University whilst Ali is at Murdoch University studying bio-medicine.
