Girls' Hockey

This year the girls' Monday night hockey competitions will be run as an under 15 and an under 18 competition. (There is still an under 13 competition on Saturday mornings.) Under 15 and under 18 girls' teams will generally be club based, organised by the womens' hockey clubs. Following is a document with details of club contacts for those girls wishing to play in the under 15 or under 18 girls' competitions on Monday night (in terms 2 and 3).

There will also be an under 18 mixed (boys and girls) competition held on Monday nights. For this competition players nominate individually and will be allocated to a team. Mixed is probably only appropriate for girls playing at a high level. Nominations for mixed are to be sent to email – U18mixed@gmail.com - and an electronic nomination form will be sent out.

2020 Inter House Swimming Carnival

On Wednesday 19 February our College swimming carnival was held at Manilla pool. It was a great experience to go to a new venue and the staff at Manilla were most welcoming in accommodating us at the pool. The local students, early swimmers and staff did a great job in setting up for the day. There was some great racing throughout the day. The relays were again a highlight. The nutbush and fit ball novelty event were a lot of fun and involved all students. The house captains, seniors and Year 7 students in particular were cheering and supporting their house groups keenly. There was a great atmosphere and wonderful school spirit throughout the day. Thank you to the Vinnies students who ran the bbq and to all staff and students who worked well on the day to make it a success. Thank you to the staff who were house patrons and did so much work to support our swimmers on the day and in the lead up to the carnival. The house patrons included Chisholm house Mr Damian Kenniff, Dominic house  Miss Kara Spicer, Edmund Rice house Ms Rebecca Hannan, and Mackillop House Ms Melissa Davis.

Year 11 SLR Helpers at St Joseph's Swimming Carnival

On Friday 21 February sixteen Year 11 SLR students attended the St Joseph’s Primary School Swimming Carnival at Kootingal. Our students did a great job assisting the running of the carnival: carrying out jobs like timing, supervision, handing out ribbons, and running the novelty events. They also gained valuable knowledge and skills on the organisational aspects of a swimming carnival. Our students were keen, friendly, helpful and great role models for the younger students. A big thank you to Mrs Ashleigh Jones for organising the excursion, to Mrs Libby Lockwood from St Joseph’s for supporting our students and Mr Michael Herden for driving the bus. The Year 11 SLR students included:

Clint, Mackenzie, Logan, Skyler, John, Georgia, Brooke, Jarius, Nicholas, Jack, Nicholas, Sienna, Peter, Brock, and Chelsea.
