Update to Pastoral Care Entries – Positive Feedback to Parents
Recently, after completing a review of our recording system, the College has updated its use of Pastoral Care Entries. This is the College’s electronic system of recording student behaviour. One exciting development has been the introduction of positive records where staff have the ability to log positive behavioural incidents where a student or group of students has done something warranting positive recognition. As a result, any time a student receives a positive Pastoral Care Entry, their parents/guardians will be automatically notified. When this occurs, parents will receive an automated email stating:
“[Teacher] has added a Pastoral Care Entry for [Student Name] – Please check your Notifications in Parent Lounge for more details. “
A link to Parent Lounge will appear below this message.
In order to read the details of the Pastoral Care Entry, parents will simply need to log onto the Parent Portal and refer to the notifications. If you are having problems logging on to the parent portal, please contact computerservice@marash.qld.edu.au.
There are many wonderful things that student do on a daily basis and staff are excited about the opportunity to share these with families.
Student Driver Register
With an increasing number of our Year 11 and 12 student driving to and from the College, communication recently went home regarding the College’s Student Driver Register. We ask all parents whose son drives to and from school to please log their son’s details. Information about how to do this can be found in the communication that went to all Year 11 and 12 families on Monday 31 July 2003.
Paul Dillon Parent Presentation
On Thursday 20 July, Mr Paul Dillon presented to our parents on the topics of vaping and teens, parties and alcohol. For those that attended, Paul’s contact details were missing from the presentation. Please see the slide below for his details.
Term 2 Photos are Ready to Order
Term 2 photos are now available to purchase through Beyond School Photos. Photos include Rugby Union, Football, Cross Country, Chess, Environment, Academic, Mission, Boarding, First Nations, EALD, Year 12 House Groups, Primary Leaders, Technical Crew and VET.
Order through Beyond School Photos website using your Unique Access Key provided by the College. Order before Friday 18 August for free delivery to the College by Monday 4 September.
