Photography Competition

During Term 1, photographers in the Media Team vied for glory in a themed competition to see who could capture some sensational shots depicting Noongar Seasons and Student Wellbeing.

In the Noongar Seasons category, first place is awarded to 

Nadine Retallack 

whose sunset image (above) was accompanied by the following caption: 

 

"Bunuru's Noongar season inspired this photograph. It represents the location of several traditional Bunuru practises. Bunuru's afternoons are often cool due to sea breezes. Bunuru is traditionally the season for fishing around rivers, beaches, and estuaries. During this period, the bulk of people's diets consisted mostly of fish and seafood. This photograph was taken at Perth's South Beach.''
