HASS Excursions

Year 8  Geography

A trip to the coast

During Week 7, the Year 8 Humanities classes participated in a fieldwork excursion to Rockingham. Here, students used their coastal landscape skills from the classroom and put them into action at Mersey Point and Cape Peron looking at coastal formations, field sketches, coastal processes, longshore drift and weather data collection. Across the three days, students worked hard at completing activities and assessing both natural and human impacts on our coastlines. Thank you to all the Humanities staff who assisted with the excursions over the week. The students had an enjoyable learning experience.
