Jai Curran-Nicholls (Year 9), who plays for the Glen Eira Soccer Club, was one of five Victorians to make the 23-player squad to represent Australia at the 2019 AFF U15 Championship in Chonburi, Thailand.

The 2019 AFF U15 Championship represents the start of Joeys age group's journey to the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2021.

With a minimum of five and up to seven international matches over the two weeks of the tournament, the AFF U15 Championship will give the players selected a great introduction to international football.

Jai started in the Cambodia game and also played against Brunei and Malaysia.  Australia finished 3rd in Group B with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.

Congratulations Jai, this is an amazing achievement and we wish you continued success with your soccer!
