With some fine weather we have started to mow some of our paddocks. Hopefully we can get a good run but the forecast of damaging winds and a lot more rain next week will bring this task to a rapid halt.

Royal Show Success

Mr Adams has had a lot of recent success at the Perth Royal Show with his Sheep enterprise and we wish to congratulate him and the students who have worked hard in the lead up and at the Royal Show – Congratulations !

This week Mr Adams has had Kevin Gellatly and Amanda Davis (AWI) here at the College  instructing students in shearing and wool handling.

Hats

As we enter Term 4 it is important to remember that all students on Farm must wear a broad brim hat – either Akubra or College bucket hat (NO CAPS).

Dinninup Show

The Dinninup Show is fast approaching and Year 10 students are all expected to be in attendance. The date is Tuesday 2nd November in Week 4.

To accommodate this, Year 10 students have swapped timetables for Tuesday and Thursday in Week 4, so Farm staff will be in attendance.

Year 10 students are expected to be in FULL CLASS  uniform, this includes, moleskins, boots, Class shirt, tie, Akubra hat and green jumper if it is a cold day. There are no jackets or shorts to be worn. Could parents please assist us in ensuring students are ready and their uniform is presentable.

We will be departing the College at 8.00am and returning at 4.00pm. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact Mr Howell or myself.

Weekend Stock

We are in the final term of weekend stock duties and it is important that both students and parents understand their obligations and when they are required to assist with Farm duties on the weekend. The Farm staff rely upon this assistance to ensure the Dairy is operational and other livestock welfare and watering matters are fulfilled.
