RESIDENTIAL

BERNIE MURNANE

Welcome back to all the returning students.  It's great to see everyone back safe and ready for the final push towards the end of the year.

Speaking with students, most had a terrific break despite the weather. Those who got away up north reported that it was wonderful and warm. This week has been surprisingly quiet in and around the Residence, it is amazing what a difference it makes when a year group leaves the campus.

It has also been extremely cold in the evenings and staff have noted that not many students braved those conditions, but preferred to stay indoors.

Student Carpark

Once the Year 12’s leave the  site we will reorganise the student carpark situation and will issue the carpark numbers for 2022. The only issue we have is if a student changes vehicles over the break.  Students need to grab the Harvey Ag carpark tag from their keys and change them to their new keys.  This is how car keys are stored for ease of identification and to make the process of distributing them so much faster.

What's On This Weekend

Mrs Sayer is finishing with us this weekend to take up a position in the Admin office,  however she has decided to go out with a bang.

The last weekend Mrs Sayer was on, she took students ice-skating  and this weekend for the students who are staying in they are off to the Forest Adventure Park near Busselton, for some high rope challenges.  I am certain this will be another great excursion for everyone involved.

Just on Mrs Sayer, Jodee will be truly missed in the Residence.  She has been a “mum” to many hundreds of students in her 7 years as a Residential Supervisor. Jodee has always had a very caring personality and has been a hardworking and knowledgeable staff member.  She will be sorely missed in the Residence by all staff, students and the many parents she has dealt with over the journey.

We wish her all the very best in her new pursuit, I am sure she will enjoy being home for dinner with her “other” family.
