INTERSCHOOL SPORTS FINALS

This term, Year 6, competed in the Summer Interschool Sports program and proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Each week students showed great sportsmanship encouraging not only their teammates but their competitors to create a fun and welcoming environment, whilst also helping and supporting each other to further develop their skills for their chosen sports. With this winning combination it no surprise that five of our seven teams made it through to the finals. 

Some may think that Friday the 13th brings bad luck but it was the complete opposite for our SFX students as they took to the courts to battle it out for finals victory. All teams pulled together making the day become lucky as all teams secured the win needed to proceed onto Division next term. 

A big congratulations to all the Year 6 students on their performance throughout the Interschool sports competition as they really did their school proud.

MDPSSA Division Athletics Carnival

Yesterday, 14 members of our SFX Athletics Team travelled to Meadowglen Athletics Stadium in Epping for the Nillumbik Division Athletics Carnival. On what was a blistery, funny day, athletes representing every age group gave it their best in every event. Some came away with personal bests and a couple are moving on to the Northern Metropolitan Regional finals next term. So proud of all our wonderful student athletes!
