Book Parade Winners Literary Luncheon
Everyone went to so much effort this year with their Book Week costumes and again congratulations to all. A number of children came along to our Literary Luncheon and book/movie tie in last week. They enjoyed sharing lunch together, particularly the jelly while watching “The Lion King”. Our Year 6 Discovery Centre Leaders joined in also, as a special thank you to them for all their help with the Book Fair and Book Week.
Vikki Conley Author Visit
Recently local author Vikki Conley came to visit our Prep-Year 2 students, and read them her two latest books “Ella & Mrs. Goosebury” and “Little Puggle’s song”. The stories were really interactive and all students were given a finger puppet so they could join in. We all had great fun. If you would like to order her books please return the order form to the Office by Monday 16th September.
Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge
The Premiers’ Reading Challenge is now closed for this year. Well done to all those students who met the requirements of the Challenge. Certificates will be awarded in Term 4.
Book of the Week
Our book of the week is book 13 in the Weirdo series by Anh Do. A very popular and humourous series in the DC.
Everyone is going nuts for WRESTLE-CRAZIA the coolest wrestling show around! Can Weir come up with an awesome idea to WIN tickets for his whole family to see the show? It wont be easy... but it will be FUNNY!
Happy reading.
