Athletics Carnival

Our Athletics carnival was another huge success for 2023, following our Swimming Carnival earlier in the term we hit record numbers again with over 1000 students in attendance at the Harold Stevens Athletics track.

Students participated in a number of track and field events, with our greatest participation rates so far across all year levels! We finished our day with houses battling it out in the 4x100m relay, collating as many house points as possible to secure the house cup for 2023.

We had a few record breakers throughout the day, congratulations to the students below who now hold CHS athletics school records.

We had Merri coming in fourth place with 1109 points, allowing Bell to safely secure third place on 1361 points. It was left to Pentridge and Lake to battle it out for first place, participation rates were high for both houses; however, Lake was deemed far too strong! Lake was crowned the Athletics champion for 2023 on 1535 points, beating Pentridge’s 1399 points.

A massive thank you to those involved, particularly the HPE staff for setting up and organising the event as well as EJ and her crew for their house pride stand. We applaud and thank all students who dressed up and got involved on the day!
