ANZAC Day 2022

Monday 25 April

Killara High School has commemorated ANZAC Day this year at local ceremonies, as well as at our whole school assembly.

Our assembly was chaired by Jessica L and David C. Fran G made a presentation on the significance of the day and the service of Victoria Cross recipient Blair Anderson Wark, a member of the Killara High School alumni. Teisha J performed Largo Sonata No 3 by Bach on the violin and Will Shaw played the Last Post and the Rouse.

Teachers and students from our school attended the Dawn Service at The Roseville Club on ANZAC Day, with our school captains, Nathan C and Jessica L laying a wreath on behalf of the school. Finnegan K was commended by the president of the club for his playing of the Last Post and The Rouse (small snippet of it below).

On Sunday 1 May, Mr Chand and student leaders represented our school and laid a wreath at the ANZAC Commemorative Service at the Anglican Church of St John the Evangelist in Gordon.
