We're still looking for parent volunteers to help supervise - if you can help out with one or both sessions, please let myself or Jo know.

Eastern Metro Region cross-country carnival

Congratulations to our three students who ran in the Eastern Metro Region cross-country carnival at Yarra Glen Racecourse on Tuesday. It was a mighty effort to qualify and one of them has made it through to the state titles to be held at the Yarra Glen Racecourse on Thursday July 14.

Well done to Hamish (5/6B) who finished 12th out of 90 and qualified for the state titles with a time of 11:23 (3km), Molly (3/4M) who finished 19th out of 92 with a time of 9:01 (2km) and Sierra (5/6E) who finished 34th out of 94 with a time of 13:36 (3km).

Whole School Talent Show

We're always looking for exciting new events for our students and their families and so we're planning to hold a whole school talent show on the evening of Friday 26 August.

All interested students are invited to enter and we will be awarding prizes on the night. Not necessarily just to the best acts, but also perhaps to things like best costume, most entertaining and most innovative performance.

We encourage everyone who might be interested to start thinking and rehearsing what they might like to perform. Anything goes - from singing and dancing through to stand-up comedy and on to gymnastics...and probably including many things we can't even begin to imagine.

Students will be able to perform solo, as a duet, or in a group. We will be asking for registrations in advance so we can plan the evening, and we may need to set time limits for acts depending on the number of entries.

We will be holding the show in our theatre and it will be a great evening to come to the school, catch up with friends and enjoy seeing the students "have a go" and demonstrate their talent to the school community.

Enjoy your weekend,
