LIBRARY

As we fast approach the end of the year we remind students that it is time to return any outstanding textbooks or overdue library books that they may still have at home.

If you have lost or damaged a book it will need to be replaced. This will incur a minimum fee of $25 per book and a $15 administration fee. Another, often more economical option, is to buy a replacement book (of the same or similar title) and give this to the Library. Please take care of your library books and always know where they are, as refunds cannot be provided if a book happens to reappear.

Our excellent E-Library is available to all staff and students. Here you will find a comprehensive range of e-books and audio books that you can access at any time. You can find the E-Library via the links on the both the Secondary and Junior School Library pages, or by using this direct link: https://trac.wheelers.co/browse/?_open=1

Once you are here you need to sign in using your College email address and the case-sensitive password: TRACebooks17 You can also download the ‘ePlatform by Wheelers books’ app and utilise the e-Library on your phone.

I would like to remind the Senior School students in particular of the excellent resources that are available to them via The Riverina Regional Library. So far 200 of our students have joined the library this year and been able to utilise the amazing Gale research databases in various subject areas including, Environmental Studies, Global Issues, Biography, Opposing Viewpoints, Science, World History, Literature, Agriculture, Culinary Arts, Gardening and Horticulture, Health and Medicine, National Geographic and Home Improvement. Students can improve the quality of their research and assignment work by using reliable resources provided by databases such as these. Having a Riverina Regional Library card allows you to access other terrific e-resources too. If you have not yet had the opportunity to join the Library through one of the classes I have visited so far, you can request an application form which I am very happy to bring to you. Simply email vanessa.mikelans@trac.nsw.edu.au
