Mission Australia Youth Survey

Remus Brasier (10 Millward) is a member of the City of Greater Bendigo Youth Council and is urging young people from Bendigo to be heard in this year’s Mission Australia Youth Survey.

The 2021 Mission Australia Youth Survey is now open!

Running until the 9th of August, the annual survey is Australia’s premier online youth survey, comprising of questions focussed on lifestyle, home life and school experience, aiming to provide a snapshot of what growing up in Australia is like, and how that changes every year. The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and is accessible here.

The survey provides a platform for young people aged 15 to 19 to ‘speak up’ about the issues that really concern them.

This year, the City of Greater Bendigo Youth Council has applied for a special report to be compiled on Bendigo’s youth and their responses to the survey. This means we need 100 respondents for this year’s survey.

The Youth Council urges respondents to use their special code 77719 so we know that you live or study in Bendigo, and make sure your response gets included in the final report.

Mission Australia CEO James Toomey urges young people across Australia to get involved and speak up in the charity’s annual Youth Survey.

“Last year we heard loud and clear that our young people see discrimination as a major issue in Australia, and are very concerned about unfair treatment, with gender inequality being at the forefront of their concerns.

“The Youth Survey 2021 provides a platform for young people to identify their personal aspirations, concerns and to express the issues they think are important in Australia today. In a climate where young people are actively seeking out opportunities to make their views known, the Youth Survey 2021 offers a safe and reliable platform to speak up.”

“Their valuable insights provide up-to-date evidence to inform advocacy and policy change on the issues that affect their lives,” Mr Toomey said.

Please take the time to complete the survey, as any response is welcome and greatly appreciated.
