Junior School

Katich Moody Shield

Every year the A cricket teams from Guildford and Trinity compete in an extended cricket fixture. A few years ago, a shield was made to recognise Simon Katich (’92) and Tom Moody, who have significant connections with the schools.

On Thursday, Mani Townsend (Captain), James Clark (Vice Captain), Cameron Andrews, Samson Birt, Spencer Hathrill, Otis Brescacin, Curtis Ieraci, Luca Di Fulvio, Jobe Hegarty and Alistair Cosby proudly represented the Trinity Junior School under the guidance of their coach Mr Alex Paljetak. Congratulations to all the boys for their wonderful effort and for bringing the shield home to Trinity College.

TOBA

Thursday afternoon was our first TOBA Assembly for the Term.  A big thank you to Simon Homsany for his contributions.

Early Finish

Next Friday, 28 October will be an early finish due to the sports bye. Classes will be dismissed at 12:45pm on that day. Buses will be running in accordance with the earlier finish time. This also means that the Year 5 and 6 boys will engage in training in the afternoon of the following Thursday.

Year 6 Camp

The Year 6 boys and teachers are getting excited about our impending camp at Forest Edge from Monday, 31 October to Wednesday, 2 November. It is always a wonderful opportunity for growth socially and emotionally. Next Tuesday, 26 October the camp information meeting for parents will be held in 6 Blue.

2023 Classes

An email went home to parents last week as a reminder that if you have requests for 2023, to ensure they are sent to Ms Temmen via email.

What an exciting week at school! It was the first full week in the final Term of the year and the final Term for the Year 6 boys. On Monday, Miss Temmen returned to school. Sadly, Mr Le Tessier got Covid-19. Tuesday was a typical day of productive learning. On Wednesday, all the sports teams were training hard, although the cricket would have been training hard for their Katich Moody Shield game.

On Thursday, the A’s Cricket team had an all-day game for the Katich Moody game against Guilford. The team was; Jobe Hegarty, James Clarke, Mani Townsend, Samson Birt, Alistair Cosby, Otis Brescacin, Spencer Hathrill, Luca Di Fulvio, Cameron Andrews, Curtis Ieraci and the coach, Mr P.

Before the game started, the Captain and Vice-Captain were selected. James Clarke was the Vice-Captain and Mani Townsend was the Captain. When Trinity got to Guilford, they had the toss. Trinity elected to bowl. Luca Di Fulvio was able to get 2 wickets. Guilford had a good performance with a batter scoring 48 runs. Mani Townsend was able to score 41 runs. With a big effort from Trinity, Alistair Cosby was able to score the winning four to win the game for the fifth time in a row. All of the other sports played Guilford in a regular fixture. On Friday, there was a TOBA Assembly to finish the week off. I hope everybody had a great week at school.
