Students explored the musical concept of pitch by creating a water xylophone.

Cyber Safety Month

Throughout October students engaged in experiences that help:

identify and establish personal online safety boundaries.
develop skills to question what they encounter online.
develop help seeking and reporting strategies for dealing with unsafe situations online.

Act e-safe challenges: Students viewed a clip and completed experiences that allowed them to collect badges:

Device safety,
Money online,
Privacy online,
Getting help from a trusted adult.

Don't share private information online like you address, school and much more.
Talk to a trusted adult if something goes wrong.
Don't click on pop up's you don't know they could be infected.

If you see something unknown in your device then ask your parents about it.

Cybermarvel learning: Students played the eSafety Commissioner’s The Lost Summer role-playing video game. It is designed to help build ‘digital intelligence’. There are 5 chapters with students being asked to complete a chapter each week. This week was Chapter 1: Mean Meme.

Ollie Online - Virtual Excursion: Students attended an online excursion where they learnt about:

Strategies to keep safe online,
How to seek help from trusted adults,
The importance of online privacy,
Balancing screen time with green time.

I've learnt not to give personal information to people you don't know. I learnt not to tell people where you live or look like

I learnt that if somebody contacts you that you don't know, tell a parent. Don't talk to strangers online.

I liked it Lucas joined in at the end and I leaned the it's not safe to take photos of yourself and send it to someone
