Cyber Safety Month
Throughout October students engaged in experiences that help:
identify and establish personal online safety boundaries.
develop skills to question what they encounter online.
develop help seeking and reporting strategies for dealing with unsafe situations online.
Act e-safe challenges: Students viewed a clip and completed experiences that allowed them to collect badges:
Device safety,
Money online,
Privacy online,
Getting help from a trusted adult.

Cybermarvel learning: Students played the eSafety Commissioner’s The Lost Summer role-playing video game. It is designed to help build ‘digital intelligence’. There are 5 chapters with students being asked to complete a chapter each week. This week was Chapter 1: Mean Meme.
Ollie Online - Virtual Excursion: Students attended an online excursion where they learnt about:
Strategies to keep safe online,
How to seek help from trusted adults,
The importance of online privacy,
Balancing screen time with green time.
