SAPSASA KNOCK OUT FOOTY

Last Friday we commenced our knock out football competition for 2017. We were drawn to play Pennington Primary at Pennington. The team of senior students were very enthusiastic to do well this year and with 5 players selected in the district representative team we went into the game as favourites. The team was well led by Willis (captain) and Naish (vice captain) and had strong support from all the lads.

It was a close game with excellent skills and some outstanding individual performances from both teams. Largs Bay got out to a 3 goal lead at half time, but Pennington fought back in the 3rd quarter to close the gap to 5 points at the final break. Accuracy in front of goal proved to be the difference as we added 4 last quarter goals to seal a victory.

We advance to round 2 and are awaiting news of our next opponents.
