Year 9 Passion for Fashion -
WOOL4SCHOOL Internal Competition
Wool4School is an annual design competition run by the Australian Wool industry to promote the use of wool and facilitate an opportunity for budding fashion designers to test their skills.
This year, we decided to run an in-house competition due to the constraints of the year.
These following six entries from the Year 9 Passion For Fashion class are excellent and varied. Their brief was to create a garment inspired by 'Flora and Fauna'.
I commend the following students on their hard work, innovative design and willingness to research thoroughly in order to extend their knowledge of new wool innovations:
Caitlin Isles - 'Wolves in Wool'
Cleo Talbot - 'Zebra'
Ella Haas - 'Barn Owl'
Emily Cox - 'Wool-tlebird'
Michaela Meyer - 'Jellyfish'
Bianca Anderson - 'Dolphin'
You can see all six designs attached below.
I am delighted to announce Ella Haas as the overall winner with her 'Barn Owl Design'.
Emily Cox with her design, 'Wool-tlebird (wattle bird and eucalyptus) is the runner up.
