School Captains Luncheon

On Friday the 9th of September, we attended a ‘Junior School Captains Luncheon’ at the Knox Club. This event was hosted by Nick Wakeling, who is the State Member for Ferntree Gully. The luncheon was an opportunity to meet with other school captains from local schools, and exchange ideas and experiences.

We had to stand up and answer some questions asked by Nick about being a leader. Listening to the other students’ answers was very interesting. Some of the questions were:

• What school will you be going to next year? 
• What do you like about being a school leader?
• What do you want to do in the future?
• What would you do if you were the State Premier for a day? 

It was an amazing learning experience, and we thought it was awesome to meet captains from the other schools. It has taught us so much and to hear other captains' opinions and ideas was really helpful. The lunch that was prepared was delicious and we enjoyed it very much.
