Active Club

What a fantastic two terms of Active Club we have had! A total of 127 students attended active club in Term 2 and 3 and run/walked/skipped their hearts out. A huge thank you to Sarah McIntosh and Mr North for helping me in Term 3 and 4. An even bigger thank you to my 8 House Captains for showing up each week to help run the morning event. I couldn’t have done it with you!

Congratulations to the below students who ran the most km’s in Active Club this year for each year level. What a huge achievement! Can’t wait to see what you get next year.

Division Athletics

On Wednesday the 14th of September we had four BHPS students attend the Knox Division Athletics. Congratulations to Ajay (Long Jump 1st), Sienna (Long Jump 1st), Matilda (200m sprint 4th) and Toby (Shot Put 7th) for making BHPS very proud on the day. I look forward to hearing how Sienna and Ajay do at the Regional Track and Field event on the 20th of October. GO BHPS!

Prep Tennis Incursion

In Week 9 the Prep grades participated in a Tennis Incursion in addition to their P.E lesson. They learnt how to bounce the ball on the floor, racquet, how to balance the ball and their favourite how to; splat, point and tap. Thank you to Extreme Tennis again for coming to BHPS to take the Tennis Incursion. Our students have loved it!

Summer Interschool Sports

On the 1st of September we had our second day of Interschool Sports and the rain thankfully held off. On both round robin days, our BHPS teams played against 8 schools in our District. Well done to all our students and a big congratulations to our Rounders Girls and Boys who came second and received a runner up pennant. You will find them hanging up in the office hallway next term.
