Netball PSSA Knockout competition
After a victory against Frank Partridge, we were put to the test playing Lake Cathie PS. The game was close, finishing with a score of 26 all. Drawing with Lake Cathie meant extra time was put in place. Having 5 minutes each way meant we had to fight for an extra 10 minutes to win. After a well fought battle, Lake Cathie just won by 2 points.

Huge congratulations to the school netball team, who unfortunately were narrowly defeated in the North Coast regional semi-final. The whole team displayed sportsmanship, tenacity, resilience and a fighting spirit to progress further than any other Boambee PS netball team has. Thank you to all of the parents for your terrific support and to our umpire Caroline from Sawtell/Toormina Netball Club/Coffs Harbour Netball Association.

PSSA Soccer Knockout- Girls
The Boambee Girls Soccer team played in a tightly contested match against Kororo, resulting in a 1-1 tie at the end of regular play. The intensity escalated as both teams entered extra time, yet neither side managed to break the deadlock. Unfortunately in the end, the Boambee Girls were defeated by Kororo, who secured victory with a 4-2 lead in corners. Despite this loss, we are extremely proud of how far the girls have progressed in the knockout competition.
AFL Report
A super effort by our AFL Team last week, we had 40 students who wanted to play AFL. With only 3 of them playing AFL on the weekends our students played very well, making it a competitive game against quality opposition. We were also able to organise for an extra 14 students to attend and participate in a fun non-competitive game. As a result of the interest in AFL we are organising AFL clinics for Years 3-6 using the Premiers Sporting grant later this term.
