Secondary Students Triumph in Education Week's Amazing Race Challenge
During last Friday's Education Week festivities, secondary students embarked on a thrilling adventure in the Amazing Race Challenge. With teamwork and determination, they conquered blindfolded mazes, sewing challenges, jigsaw puzzles, and more.
The excitement was palpable as teams displayed their critical thinking skills. Among the competitors, Team Brazil secured a triumphant victory, followed closely by Team Australia and Team France.
The event not only celebrated Education Week but also emphasised the value of hands-on learning experiences. Students honed academic and life skills, including communication and collaboration.
The Amazing Race Challenge showcased the incredible talent and brilliance of our secondary students.

Book Fair
The Boorowa Central School Book Fair of 2023 is complete, with final orders placed and many happy customers returning home with their books and novelty items.
Each member of the library team would like to extend our thanks to our wonderful families for their overwhelming amount of support and donations for the school. We are so grateful to be supported by a community that is dedicated to fostering a love of reading within our students. The students loved showing off their costumes in the book parade, and from what I am hearing, some are already plotting their costumes for next year's parade!
With the money raised, we have been able to add a whopping 52 books to our collection, with more on the way throughout the year.
Congratulations to the Book Fair competition winners:

Short Story Writing Competition
During Education Week 18 students from Primary and Secondary put their creative writing skills to the test as they participated in the Annual Boorowa Central Short Story Writing Competition. Our participants wrote some amazing stories, ranging from sentient fish invasions to tales of love and fire!
After the dust settled and the judges had read the stories, two emerged as victors - Emily Ford from Primary and Delilah Cross from Secondary. Their stories ‘Belonging’ (Emily Ford) and ‘Wild Goose Chase’ (Delilah Cross) explored stories of dreams and teenage mysteries.
You can view these stories her.
A big thanks to all who participated in the competition - it was difficult to pick winners! We hope you will join again next year.
