League Stars - Junior Gala Day - Scully Park Tamworth

The NRL North West Development Team will be running some League Stars Skill & Gala Days for students in Years K to 2.

The day will consist of some Skills & Tackle ready sessions followed by some games of Tackle or Tag (whichever the students want to play).

When  - Friday, 2nd December 2022.

Where -  Scully Park - Tamworth.

Time - The day will commence at 10am & Conclude by 1.30pm.

Competitions

- Under 6's Tackle (Boys & Girls Mixed)

- Under 6's Tag (Boys & Girls Mixed)

- Under 8's Tackle (Boys & Girls Mixed)

- Under 8's Tag (Girls only)

The day will be for all students Boys & Girls U8 & younger (K to 2) to come and participate in some skills sessions as well as some Tackle Ready Education, followed by some Tackle or Tag games.

All protective equipment for tackle Rugby League must be provided by the student (Mouth guards, Head gear). 

At this stage we are calling for nominations to see if we can make teams. If we do not have enough players to fill a team the students will be placed into a mixed schools’ team.  

Please have this nomination note returned to school by Tuesday, 22nd November 2022. 

2023 Diocesan Touch Football Trials

Best of luck to Ruby Kenafick, Sarah Northey, Connor Mitchell, Nulla Gillon, Destiny Smith and Tommy Taber who are trialling for the Armidale Diocesan Touch Football Representative team in Tamworth today. 

Update

Congratulations to Nulla Gillon who gained selection into the 2023 Armidale Diocesan Touch Team!  A special mention also to Ruby Kenafick who made possible/probables component of the trials.
