Anniversary Mass

On Monday 1st May (pupil free day) the staff began our staff reflection day by celebrating Mass for the one year anniversary of the passing of our beloved ESO Angela Lalli. We thank Fr Selva for presiding over the Mass and making it so beautifully personalised.

We continue to keep Angela’s family in our prayers as she rests in eternal rest with God.

Caritas Carnival

On Friday the last week of Term 1, we hosted our first ever Caritas Carnival, with each House group leading different stations based on a Project Compassion focal person.  The year 6 leaders were great and we raised a fabulous  $350  which will go to Caritas Australia, where it will be used to fund their many projects both in Australia and around the world .

Community Prayer

We are re-introducing community prayer this term on Week 3, 5, 8 and 10.

This term the House Teams will be leading these prayers and we welcome all families to join us either on the courtyard (weather permitting) on in middle Candler at the new time of 2:45-3:00.

This term, as we are focused on the OLSH Pillar 'We are Heart people who are faith filled' we would love to encourage our parents and families to join with us at community prayer and contribute a prayer from your family's faith and spiritual belief.

Class Group Masses

This term the three class groupings will be hosting a mass. All Masses will take place in St Brigid’s Church on Wednesdays at 9:00am. All families and friends are welcome to attend.

Reception and year 1 classes are hosting a Mass in week 5.

Year 2/3 classes are hosting their mass in week 6.

Year 4/5 and 5/6 are hosting their mass in week 8.

If you have any questions or would like any more information regarding Mass please contact class teacher or myself, pburns@stb.catholic.edu.au

Year 6 Leaders

It was with great delight and excitement, the Year 6's recieved their senior tops and leadership badges this week. The tops are bright, viviad and already loved by the Year 6's. Haseeb was the winning designer of this wonderful top.

Mother's Day

We keep our mothers, grandmothers and special women in our lives in our thoughts and prayers on Sunday 14th May.

We take this opportunity to thank God for blessing Jesus with His special mother and for our universal mother, Mother Mary.

Yours in Love, Peace and Learning
