Eclipse House News

A very long and busy term for everyone, lots of sport, hockey, football and volleyball.  The boys taking part in these have had some great results along with a few losses. Country Week was to follow for some of the house members, but, unfortunately due to a COVID lockdown it was necessary to cancel this wonderful across the state interschool event. On the upside, holidays are to come for everyone.

It has been my privilege to share the house with the Eclipse boys acting as the Relief Head of House. The boys have all been awesome, and I have enjoyed their company as I hope they do mine.  Yes, I do spoil them a little 'Waffles' and 'Brownies' with ice cream for supper a couple of times per week.  We had an in-house BBQ this week, across all years in Eclipse and it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.  Many thanks to Josh Cameron and Quinten Robinson for cooking the meat.  Thanks to Chef Nick Harvey and Chef Tyler Sibert for the tasty extras, potato bake, salad, and rolls.   Waffles and ice cream by yours truly was to follow for supper. We look forward to doing this again next term.

Several of our senior students took part in World Oceans Day Beach Clean Up as part of a program involving the City of Albany and Sea Shepherd.  The clean up was adjacent to the ANZAC Peace Park on the foreshore.  Congratulations to those that took part, a strong community involvement.

We had a few birthdays during last four weeks of Term Two. Best wishes go to William Penny and Mitchell Hawley in June, and Alexander Norrish celebrating his birthday on the last day of term.

The last week of term is with us, everyone is looking forward to Friday 2 July. Have a wonderful and safe holiday wherever you are.  Catch up in Term Three.
