Principal's Message

“This too shall pass”

This Persian adage may be of help when we reflect on the situation which we currently face. The story suggests that a sultan wanted an inscription in a ring that would accurately reflect the perpetual change of human affairs. It is a reminder that the challenges we face are of a temporary nature even though it may not feel that way.

In assemblies we have been emphasising the importance of wellbeing and that physical, mental and emotional wellbeing is important for health. Students were encouraged to have a good night’s sleep, stay connected (talk to people face-to-face, even through social media), set goals (for each day set something that is achievable), express their emotions (in creative ways such as art, music, exercise), be present in the moment (take one step at a time and focus on what they can do now).
