Instrumental Performances

In the absence of on-site lessons and performances a number of our Instrumental Music Tutors are holding digital concerts to showcase the work students have been doing. This week, eight students who undertake lessons with Ms Robyn Cole, Piano Accompanist, shared some of the pieces they have been working on. We congratulate Eve T (Year 3), Therese E (Year 4), Alana J (Year 6), Pierre S (Year 8), Tanisha S (Year 8), Spencer C (Year 8) and Mathias S (Year 12).

On Tuesday, some of our strings players who have been learning with Ms Ally Broddle will be holding a lunchtime concert. After school on Thursday, students who undertake lessons in both piano and voice with Ms Ebony McCarthy will present their work. These casual, informal concerts are a great way for students to perform to a wider audience and for us to see how they are developing as musicians.

VET Music Industry Night

Things have become too tight with the lifting of restrictions and we have had to cancel the VET Music Industry night scheduled at the Brunswick Ballroom on Monday 6 September. If we are permitted back at school by then, we will undertake the performances in the Chapel and Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday 8 September from 7.00pm and stream this out to an audience. Refunds for those who have booked tickets already will be processed in the coming week. To access the streamed concert, you will need to book your free access at https://www.trybooking.com/BTVLM

VCE Stagecraft Performance Night

The mock assessment performance night on Thursday 9 September will also move to an online performance. The three students in the Year 12 class will each present their 8-minute monologue performance. The performance from the Year 11 class will be moved to a later date. All are welcome to watch this event which commences at 7.00pm. To access the streamed show, you will need to book your free access at https://www.trybooking.com/BTVLP.

Cumberland Concert

The Cumberland Concert bookings were due to open this coming Monday. With the current COVID restrictions, we will be holding off on opening tickets for this show until we know more. The Head of School will advise families of Cumberland students via email, if/when tickets can be booked.
