Only 2 weeks left of school for our Year 12s – wishing them ALL the very best in their future study and career choices.
Scholarship Recipients
- Congratulations to Aryellah Dal Broi and Lexi Salvestro on being awarded the CEDWW Education scholarships. The scholarships are valued at $20,000 each and will go towards helping to pay for university course costs.
Extra Funding for TAFE
- The federal government has announced extra funding for TAFE courses with an extra 180,000 free TAFE places created in $1.1 billion deal. This will help young people to achieve their qualifications for free. See this link for the whole article:
Country University Centre’s Focus Group
I attended the CUC’s focus discussion group yesterday which aimed to better understand Griffith’s unique community needs and tertiary aspirations. Ideas around promotion of the CUC to school students, including excursions, and change in values towards tertiary education, the suitability of courses for rural industries, were some of the issues discussed. Watch this space for future outcomes.

The following are being offered for free to people 16 years and above at Griffith TAFE (check the weblink for confirmation that the course is running): Fee free short courses

Statement of attainment in espresso coffee (Espresso coffee and food safety)

Can I access financial support?Financial support and scholarships are available for many different areas of study for many different careerpathways post school. Please see the attachment for details.
