Tournament of the Minds (ToM)

A huge congratulations to our two teams who traveled to Sydney to participate in the state competition in the disciplines of Art and Social Science.

Both teams were predominantly from yr 7&8 and did themselves, and the school proud. The social science team dealt with the issue of identity, and the arts team re-told the tale of Lepri Shawn.

Whilst not winners this year, Mr McKenzie (TOM coordinator) reports that 'they were one of the best groups I have ever traveled with'.

Thank you to the TOM teams for representing our school so beautifully.

An Economic Update

Yr 11 and 12 Economics students attended a dinner with the Reserve Bank Governor, Dr Lowe. Dr Lowe's speech, ‘An Economic Update’ was most engaging and comprehensive and the student benefited greatly from the experience.

Thank you to Dr Lowe for his informative speech and to the Armidale Business Chamber for hosting such an occasion.
