All Schools Track & Field

5 Athletes from Armidale Secondary College went down to Sydney the last weekend of September to compete in the 2019 ACPE NSW All Schools Track & Field Championships.

 

The results were as follows: 

Caleb Bettison11th in the 14yrs 1500m & 5th in the 14yrs 2000m Steeplechase
Andre Cooper5th in the 14yrs 100m & 6th in the 14yrs 200m
Layla Cooper12th in the 12yrs 100m & 7th in the 12yrs 200m
Amelia Mazzei4th in the Para 16-19yrs 100m and Bronze in the Para 16-19yrs 200m
Taju Tijani40th in the 15yrs 100m & 36th in the 15yrs 200m

Tennis

Congratulations to Nicole Tarrant who has represented North West in girl’s tennis.

Shooting

Tiffany Tarrant and Patrick Simpson (both year 12) achieved fantastic results at the national Benchrest Rimfire Championships during the holidays at Seaham, NSW, involving over 70 shooters from Australia and NZ.

 

This competition involved over seventy shooters from both Australia and New Zealand.

 

Pat won the trophy for first junior in the rimfire event whilst Tiffany placed third in the juniors for the rimfire benchrest and won two screamer patches in the heavy rimfire.

 

Well done to these very talented shooters!
