Welcome to your Fete Weekly Update!

There is so much important information so please take the time to read the details enclosed as to how you can help out to make the 2022 SKiPPS Fete the best ever.

TIME TO SIGN UP AND VOLUNTEER 

The Fete volunteer roster is now live, click here - SKiPPS FETE SIGN UP.

There is a huge array of activities to assist with and opportunities to get involved whilst enjoying time with friends and meeting new parents.

There are over 250 hours of volunteer time required to make the fete a success, so we are asking for as many parents as possible to get involved on the day including extended family members if they can help for an hour or two. We also encourage students to volunteer with their parents, particularly on the class stalls.

OLUNTEER HAPPY HOUR

All volunteers on the day will also receive Happy Hour priced drinks at the bar from 5-6pm to say thanks. A hard-earned thirst deserves a discounted beer!

BUY YOUR ‘TICKET TO RIDE’ WRISTBAND

Thank you to those awesome people that have donated so far. 

We are still looking for big ticket items like accommodation and artwork - do you have a holiday house you can put up for a weekend stay? Or a hotel connection Maybe some artwork to donate? A home catering voucher?

As this is our major fundraiser we need your help to make this the best one yet!

CLASS HAMPERS FOR THE SILENT AUCTION

This is an easy and fun way to get involved! We'll soon open up donations for each class to create a hamper for the silent auction. Maybe you can give some luxe hand cream?Favourite family treats? Homewares? A fancy bottle of wine from the cellar?

TOY & BOOK STALL DONATIONS

Donations can be dropped at the Heritage Shed every Friday morning from 8.30 – 9.00am (To get to the Heritage Shed walk alongside Office entry, past the classrooms and turn right)

CAKE STALL – GET READY TO BAKE

We are once again having a cake stall at the Fete, and we need your help! Slices, biscuits, cupcakes and larger cake contributions will all be welcome. Look out for details closer to the date for times to drop off your tasty baked treats.

There will also be a SKiPPS Bake Off, with entries on the theme of 'Nature' open to all students. More details to come!

CLASS STALL UPDATE

Below is some detail of the stalls;the success of these stalls is reliant on donations and volunteers. Watch out for updates from your Class Reps / Stall Leads on some upcoming working bees to get things ready for the stalls.

If you can donate any of the items listed below please place them in the tub in the School Office.

Foundation/Year 1 - Plant Stall

We will be selling packs of 'seed bombs' made by students and 'pot kits' (buy a pot, decorate it and plant your seed to take home).

Donations required: Potting mix, POSCApaint pens, non-washable paint, spray paint and terracotta pots.

Year 2 -Carnival games 

This will be a carnival game circuit, there are 4 games to play for your chance to win!

Donations required: packets of Jaffa's for the Jaffa game.

Year 3/4 - Cookie Decorating

Come and decorate a yummy cookie donated by Rye & Dough!

Donations required: icing sugar, sprinkles/other decorations for biscuits.

Year 5 -Crazy Hair & Nails 

Step into the Salon, the grade 5 students and parents will be creating crazy hair styles and doing nails!

Donations required: Coloured or glitter hairspray, hair accessories, ribbons, hair ties etc and nail polish.

Year 6 -Chocolate Toss 

This speaks for itself! the famous chocolate toss game!

Donations required: Blocks of chocolate.

FETE DECORATIONS - COME TO THE WORKSHOP! 

We are looking for the following items to use to make decorations for the fete; coloured plastic lids, bottles or bread tags, and scraps of fabric material. Please drop them into the box in the School Office.

The next decoration workshop will be held Monday 14th November after school in Kitchen Garden Room.Thanks to all the fabulous helpers that came to yesterday’s workshop. We made lots of progress and the decorations are looking wonderful! Text Allison if you are interested in helping! 0410 788 257
