Impact of Giving 2021 report

2021 was another benchmark year of giving, participation and strengthening a culture of philanthropy at Friends’. There is no doubt that the strong philanthropic partnership between the School and its community, since it was founded, continues to directly benefit Friends’ students today and into the future. Community Appreciation Day

Each year the School expresses its appreciation for the many contributions of our community to Friends’ - whether that be time, funds, mind or items. These contributions have a direct and positive impact on Friends’ students and the School appreciates very deeply the enhanced educational journey it is able to offer students thanks to the support of our community. We look forward to expressing our gratitude to all who contribute to Friends’ at our inaugural Community Appreciation Day to be held in May 2022.

Coming soon… Illuminate - Campaign for The Friends’ School

A great transformation is underway at The Friends’ School Commercial Road campus.

The School’s Master Plan has a bold vision to significantly enhance our students’ educational experience and environment.  In 2021, the Campus Redevelopment Phase One commenced, which involves:

  • Building a new multi-purpose Sports Centre; and
  • Establishing a new learning centre on the site of the WN Oats Gymnasium
New Sports Centre
New WN Oats Centre
New Sports Centre
New WN Oats Centre

These new facilities are vital to support the School’s vision of providing a world-class, Quaker co-education for our students. Importantly, this development also addresses capacity and accessibility challenges on the Commercial Road campus.

Soon we will launch a Community Campaign to ask our community to help co-fund these vital new facilities in partnership with the School. This vital Campaign will replace annual giving this year and is coming soon. So please keep an eye out for Illuminate…!
