The Principal's Pen
Term 3 is a very active term at Cornerstone. We have already had the Primary Lapathon and the Secondary Athletics Carnival and there are still more events to come. There are information nights for next year’s Year 11 students and for families starting Year 7 next year, photo days and Parent Connect meetings, all culminating in Learning Journeys, dance performances and the Secondary Expo. Make sure you keep an eye on our social media for photos and stories as these things happen, as well as the stories in this newsletter.
This term is also a time of increased interaction with our parent organisation, CCM, in Queensland. Sixteen of our staff made it to the staff conference in Brisbane, and came back reporting a very positive experience with over 800 other CCM staff. We will also be hosting several visits by leaders and managers from CCM as well as a visit by the College Board.
As always, we commit our ways to God. We are navigating complex times and we need to be mindful not to be distracted from our mission of Education for Christ, Character and Community. This verse hangs on the wall in our conference room, painted by a previous Head Girl, and is a good reminder:
“Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act” Psalm 37:5
