The Gully

Stage 2 (Junior School SW and WF)

On Friday, 19th, Stage 2 from the Wentworth Falls and the Springwood Campuses met at The Gully in Katoomba with Jim Halls and Jacqui Bail to look at primary sources of information about life in The Gully for the Aboriginal people. 

Jacqui shared a variety of bush tucker with the children and Jim shared six Aboriginal artefacts with the children and they had to decide how each artefact was used. They also enjoyed a guided tour with Mrs Gerrard about the long and rich history of The Gully using a guided signage walk around the nature track, which is inside the car circuit. 

The students were really engaged with all of the activities and had a fun time.
