Faith Life Inquiry
Caith Malone
Hello everyone,
Over the last two weeks we have continued spending some of our weekly Professional Learning sessions on Wednesday afternoons, unpacking Kath Murdoch's book. Kath is a leading expert in the Inquiry process of Learning and Teaching. The book titled, The Power of Inquiry, is helping our staff up skill in this way of thinking and as Kath Murdoch states, this way of being in the world.
This week, year level teams have been busily planning the learning sequences for Term Three and we can’t wait to share with the community all wonderful things our students will be wondering about.
I have added a link to a beautifully written article that Kath Murdoch uploaded to her blog just this week. If you read her story with the added Inquiry Lens you will begin to see ways that you and your family can become lifelong inquirers and be amazed at the wonderful world around us, a world that God has freely created and allowed us to share in it. Remember that faith and life are intertwined and look to see God in the ordinary things in life.

EXPERIENCING THE CYCLE OF INQUIRY: REFLECTIONS AND REMINDERS ON WORLD OCEAN DAY.
BY KATH MURDOCH
Let us pray:
Holy One,
Help us this day to be reminded of the sacred in the ordinary.
The holy moments of waking yet again to a new day.
The feel of the earth beneath our feet.
The crisp cool on our skin.
The joy of being welcomed.
The warmth of this place.
Help us this day to be fully present in our living,
Awake to each breath.
Remind us O God, that Life is taking place in the in between
As well as in our lofty goals
Remind us O God that the detours and the details craft the path
And make it our own.
Help us to remember that we did not make this day.
But that we have the glorious pleasure to greet each moment as it unfolds
To reach out and kiss its cheek as though It were a visitor who has come a long way just to see us.
These and the prayers of our hearts we now lift up in the silence.
Amen.
God bless,
