Dear Families,
As we prepare to head into Term 2 school holidays, we continue to ensure that our students are armed with strategies to keep them safe. Classroom teachers will run personal safety lessons during the last week of school around topics such as identifying body signals or help seeking behaviours to best prepare our students to keep safe during the break. This aligns with our Child Safety Standards and is a whole school SoGS practice.
At the end of each term students are given time to review and edit their ‘Trusted 5’ Safety Network (see below). This is a great way of ensuring our students are aware of the trusted adults they can reach out to if necessary. We include the Emergency and Kids Helpline numbers in the palm of the hand.
