ART SHOW

On Thursday 11th October, FCC staff, students and friends celebrated the opening of the Annual Art Show at the wonderful Metro West Art Gallery situated at 138 Nicholson St, Footscray.

The college held this event for the first time at the gallery to great success as it was well received with positive feedback.

An excellent variety of Year 7 to 12 artwork was on display, ranging from sculpture, ceramics, digital photography, VCD and textiles, highlighting the creative talents of the FCC learning community.

The exhibition was officially opened by Marsha Thomson, Member for Footscray who spoke both about high level of demonstrated skills as well as the variety of subject matter explored by students.

The addition of live music provided by students was organised and co-ordinated by Paul Dooley, and I would like to thank all involved.

I also want to thank Principal, Maria Bawden for her ongoing support in the development of the exhibition as well as the talented FCC Visual Arts staff.
