Equity and Human Rights

Our Equity and Human Rights committee has had a busy and impactful year so far!
- We marched together at Silicon Valley Pride in September.
- The Winter Gift of Warmth Coat Drive distributed 266 coats to Oak Grove students and families.
- We proposed an LGBTQ+ training to management. As a result, all staff will be provided with a training module and a facilitated training by the Q Corner by the end of the year. Attached here are resources from the training. Additional materials and signage have been provided for Intermediate sites!
- We are in the process of working with OGSD Board Members Jorge Pacheco Jr. and Carla Hernandez on an LGBTQ+ board resolution which addresses adjustments to our working and learning environment, curriculum, and training. Please look out for this in the spring!
- We have provided many resources for teachers on our Equity and Human Rights page.
