Hi Families, 

What a busy term 3 we have had and how exciting is it to be coming towards the festive and warm side of the year.  It is hard to believe in a few short months that another year will be over but it also a reminder of how much we have achieved this year.

 

Term 3 Highlights

As you read along you will notice that this term has been all about welcoming our community into our service . At Haven, we take pride in the having high levels of collaboration with our community and families, and always looking to see what we can achieve next. Some stand-outs from this term include:

  • Book Week & Book Fair, as a service we raised $800
  • Aver & Line Photography here to capture beautiful photos of all of our children
  • Teeth on Wheels Dental Van, visiting to help keep children's teeth healthy and clean
  • Reptile Incursions for all rooms (Thankyou for The Lizard Wizard and Reptile Encounters)
  • Visit from Rowville CFA with our Kinder children exploring all aspects of the fire truck, hoses and sirens
  • Michelle from Rowville Library visiting to read stories to all of our children and also Forest Room walking to Rowville Library
  • Field Room (4-year old Kindergarten) continued partnership with Rowville Primary School, spending time in the Foundation Classes 
  • Welcoming Dads and Special Persons into the service for a Father's Day Afternoon Tea

With the weather warming up and sun shining we now set our sights on having all rooms continue to explore our local community and use Arcadia Reserve next door as an extension of our Haven environment. We are blessed with our location in Rowville to extend our educational programs out into the community including developing our gross motor skills on the large grass, discovering elements of nature, learning about road safety as we walk to locations and also learning organisations /businesses are in our community including Rowville Fire Station, Stud Park and Wellington Village. 

 

2023 Enrolments

As we look forward to 2023 we have been busy getting families to re-enrol in Haven and also welcoming new families to tour our service. Undertaking this process has highlighted the loyal and beautiful families we have at Haven, with so many recommendations and kind words about our service.

Enrolments for 2023 have now been offered, with first priority given to families already enrolled at Haven and our funded Kindergarten Children. We are so excited to welcome back majority of our families and also welcome so many siblings into our younger age groups.

As we approach the end of the year we look forward to some sunshine and being able to celebrate the year with a Haven Christmas Party and Kindergarten Graduation (dates TBC).
