Sandhurst Cricket

It was a winning day all round for Girton’s Year 7/8 Cricket side last week.  

Captained by Henry Rathjen, the Girton boys jumped out of the blocks, defeating their highly fancied Marist opponents in the morning match. It was a much closer contest in the afternoon with Girton hanging on by a single run in a nail-biting finish to the day’s cricket action. 

Jimmy Wilkinson was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant stroke play at the top of both innings. The boys are congratulated for their behaviour and achievements on the pitch. Special thanks to Isaac Willits and Aiden Clemens for their efforts and leadership also.
