Sandhurst Junior Netball

On Tuesday the 17th of November the Girton Year 7&8 Netball teams took to the court at the Sandhurst Divisional Sports Day.  It was a delight to see the girls back on the court, enjoying the great game of Netball.  Congratulations to the players for their efforts and sportsmanship on the day.  The students were reminded of the joys of playing Netball on asphalt feeling the effects of blistering feet, but to their credit, they pushed through and kept playing for the team. Congratulations to Girton Blue for finishing in 1st place and to Girton Orange for finishing 3rd overall. 

Special thanks to our Coaches Isabella Shoebridge 10 Jones, Caitlin Richardson 10 Jenkin, Rose Kennett 9 Aherne and Eliza Oxley 9 Jenkin for leading the teams.  A huge thank you to Lucy Holmberg 10 Jones and Elise Richards 9 Jenkin for umpiring, without you the competition could not go ahead.
