Year 9 OED

During week 3, 16 Year 9 students travelled to Wilson’s Promontory National Park to completed some amazing walks, such as the summit climb to Mount Oberon and Mount Bishop and a walk for Tidal River to Whiskey Bay.

Students really impressed the staff with their leadership, perseverance and communication skills. The students enjoyed the opportunity to demonstrate their independence, cooking for themselves, setting up their own tents and working together as a group to achieve our collective goals.

At the end of the experience, students shared some character strengths they saw in others and it was heart-warming to hear them complement each other with statements such as "You showed kindness by helping me get to the top of the Mountain. Well done to all who attended!
