MSC Engagement Programs


Morning Basketball Program is back and as popular as ever, averaging 20 students at each session and an increase in junior student attendance. Students continue to form strong peer relationships and enjoy light refreshments before heading off to class. 

 

Melbourne Victory Soccer Program

Student's welcomed new Coach, Johno Clement, who also coached at the school holiday program.

Over the 2022/23 summer break, many students participated in the Melbourne Victory holiday program .

Western Bulldogs Community Foundation Youth Leadership Project

In 2022, alumni student Makaile Mirabelli benefitted from the Bulldogs Youth Leadership Project.  Makaile has passion for community and youth engagement and was highly spoken of by the facilitators of the program. Makaile gained many transferrable life skills through her involvement.

The 2023 Western Bulldogs Youth Leadership Project registrations are now open.

The program will be promoted to Year 9s at the school assembly to attract potential participant who will benefit from the program. 

 

The 2023 AFL/TAC Unity Cup Gala.

The TAC Unity Cup program will be held on the 23 April. It is a large event that draws in many organisations with sponsors such as TAC, Australian Federal Police, VicHealth; and schools and community groups. The program has been designed to bring together Victorians from diverse backgrounds who have a common interest in Aussie Rules football.  

Lunchtime and Recess Student Engagement Program

The Pasifika and Maori Liaison team runs Volleyball program at junior and senior breaks to increase engagement of Pasifika students in sport. The program is targeted but inclusive to the whole.

MSC Pasifika & Maori Parent Evening.

Our Pasifika Liaison Team will be organising a MSC Family Fono to increase community connection and relationships within our Pasifika and Maori families and staff. A similar event was held in 2021 with 70 in attendance, According to our Pasifika and Maori Liaison Officer Afu Toleafoa and Yvonne Ioane “We believe that nights like this are integral to building consistent and positive interactions between Pasifika and Maori families, amongst each other, and staff. We hope to host a Family Fono twice a year soon”.
