Library News

If you liked the movie, then you will love the book!

This year our relieving Librarian, Miss Crook has been creating colourful display's in our Library to encourage our students to read a variety of books.  Miss Crooks current display 'If you liked the movie, then you will love the book!'  encourages our students to utilise resources that students are able to borrow that have been re-created  and enjoyed by our students as movies.

READ THE RAINBOW

To encourage our younger students to borrow a variety of picture books, Miss Crook has created a 'Read the Rainbow' display. Each week Miss Crook will source a particular colour cover of a picture book and create a colour display of books that our students may not have noticed before or chosen to read.

Overdue Books

Recently each student who has an outstanding book loan from 2018 were issued with an overdue loan notice.  It is important that these books/resources are returned to the Library as soon as possible.

Guyra Central School prides itself on having a well-stocked , full of a variety of resources, so that your child can enjoy a literature rich experience.  When loans remain overdue, other students miss out on the enjoyment or educational properties of that resource too.
