Congratulations to Eddie Jenkins, Amy Porter, Caroline Baker and Kellie Jones, for the two award wins in the Victorian Schools Garden Awards

Seven Season Indigenous Garden wins two awards and $1350 in vouchers

We’re so excited to share, that thanks to the massive efforts of Eddie Jenkins, Caroline Baker and Kellie Jones, we’ve won the following two awards in the 2021 Victorian Schools Garden Awards:

  • Best School Garden Exhibiting Biodiversity Award $1000 Voucher
  • Regional Award winner $350 voucher

A big thank you also needs to go Jaret Hogarth, Sandringham College's Gardens and Grounds, for his assistance and passion working with our volunteers to make this happen. Well done to everyone who has volunteered their time and efforts with the garden over the last 12 months. We’re now looking forward to the official opening with the Mayor early next year. 

 

The Seven Seasons Indigenous Garden is located at the Bluff Rd campus outside reception is designed to educate our students on the plants and their uses across the seven seasons of the indigenous calendar. 


Thank you Christmas gifts delivered to all 120+ staff

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who wrote Christmas cards and helped wrap the custom cookie packs from awesome local business, The Icing Artist, for this years PTF staff gift. We hope this small gift sends our gratitude for all the staff's wonderful support of our kids in this challenging year. 

 

 Thank you to our card writers: Suze Robertson, Lisa-Jane Bell, Harry Brammall, Sarah Asome, Penny Mason Peetoom, Edwina Jenkins, Kate Mills and Maz Lopes. And thank you to box wrappers:  Michelle Hawkins Blaikie, Lucie Morris-Marr and Maz Lopes. 


Dance Showcase Roses sales raised $524 for our Dance Teachers

Thank you to Sam Davies and all our wonderful volunteers who helped with the selling of the roses, running them back stage and ushering at the two Dance performances.

 

We were able to raise $524 which will go to the Sandy Dance teachers to support the Dance programs.

 

Thank you to our dedicated Dance teaching staff Prue Slingsby and Kristina Hardner for their support in making this happen.


Blazer Buy Back raised $1388 and the Second Hand Uniform Shop is stocked up for 2022

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Blazer Buy Back this year. The Blazers have been dry cleaned with thanks to our friendly local dry cleaners, Sandringham Dry Cleaners, and are now available for sale in the Second Hand Uniform Shop for $95. Thank you to everyone who also donated uniform, our Second Hand Uniform shop is now fully stocked to help everyone get set for next year. All money raised goes back to the school via the many PTF Projects. 

 

A massive thank you to the Second Hand Shop volunteers headed up by Maz Lopes. Thank you for all your time, hard work and lovely smiling faces that have supported so many of our families this year! Thank you also to Karen Tye, Cat Funnell, Kate Mills and Penny Stewart.

 

Clearing out your old uniform donations over the break? We’d love them!

We’re always in need of new stock for the Second Hand Uniform Shop, so please donate your unwanted uniform in the donation bins located in reception.

 

Please email uniformshop@sandringhamsc.vic.edu.au with any uniform needs. 

 

Shop Hours

During school terms the second hand uniform shop is open every Thursday 8.15am-9.15am during school terms and is located at the Bluff Rd campus. We ask that parents please check in at reception first.

 

Our first open for 2022 will be Fri 28 January 2022.  


PTF Volunteer Thank you party at Sparrows

It was so lovely to be able to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers and cheers away all the almost started, pivoted quickly, on again, off again events and activities we'd planned this year. Let's look towards 2022 with hope that we might be a little more normal and be able to create some amazing good for our Sandringham College community.
