SSV Greater Western Region Senior & Intermediate Basketball

On Thursday 3rd August BHS qualified 3 teams (Senior Girls, Intermediate Boys, Intermediate Girls) for the SSV Greater Western Region Senior and Intermediate Basketball Competition at the Selkirk Stadium, Ballarat.

The Senior Girls battled hard all day with several of the key players away on the BHS Year 12 Snow Camp. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it through to the finals. 

The Intermediate Girls found themselves in the runners up final against Trinity College to decide 3rd place then finished in 4th place for the day. 

The highlight of the day was Intermediate Boys team who progressed to the Grand Final against Horsham College. The boys got off to a quick start and took a 5-point lead into half time. Horsham College regrouped and applied immense pressure both defensively and offensively to win the game by 8 points. The team was certainly disappointed to miss out on an opportunity to compete at the SSV State Championships but should still be very proud of themselves.
