Want to become a Referee?
Are you over 13yrs of age and wish to earn a bit of extra cash? Cowra Junior Rugby League is calling for expressions of interest in becoming a referee.
You do not need to have any Rugby League experience either as a player or a referee you just need to be over 13yrs of age. Once you have completed the course and training you will be qualified to referee games down at the Cowra Junior Rugby League fields on Saturday mornings. Match payments as follows:
Mini Field 5-8yrs $10 per 1/2 hr game, Modified Field 9-12yrs $15 per 40min game and Main Field 13-16yrs $25 per game. The cost of the course is $35 and registration is then $10 to be affiliated as a Group 10 referee. These costs will be reimbursed along with match payments once qualified.
The course involves some online modules followed by a face to face course. Please call Shayne Beard on 0438 608 153 ASAP to express interest or for more information.
Cowra Junior Soccer Registrations
Registrations for Cowra & District Junior Soccer for this season are now open. On-line registrations will remain open this year until Sunday April 1.
Due to rising insurance costs and other contributing costs rising, our fees for this year have had to increase a little to cover these costs. Cowra Junior Soccer prices have not risen in many years however unfortunately it was unavoidable this season.
The new Active Kids sporting voucher will be able to be used towards our fees if you choose to. We will provide more details shortly on how to firstly register for the vouchers and then how to apply them to your registration process to offset the cost.
The fees for this season are as follows:
Ages 5-8: $80
Ages 9 and above: $110
If there are more than 3 players from the one family, you only pay for the oldest three.
This year ALL registrations will be online only. It is an easy process that only takes a few minutes to complete. Therefore we will NOT be having a sign on day this year. The link on how to do this is at the bottom of this post.
The competition is scheduled to start on April 28 - the first Saturday of second term. LATE registrations after April 1 and before April 7 will cost an extra $20. Registrations for players 9 and above from April 8 will cost an extra $50.

If you would like to use the Active Kids Voucher towards your registration costs please make sure you have been onto the Service NSW website first and been issued your voucher BEFORE you register using our online registration as you will need your voucher number.
